Crochet Baby Dress Pattern with Two Unique Stitches, Sunshine Dress

This delightful baby dress pattern is designed using two unique crochet stitches. Who wouldn't love learning new stitches? The pattern is written to minimize weaving ends while changing colors. The bodice uses a combination of shell and puff stitches while the skirt is made up of a gorgeous eyelet crochet fabric. The bodice stitch would look more defined if you used a dark color with a light one. I have vowed not to buy more yarn until I finish half of my stash.  The yarn is taking over my apartment :). So I picked the two colors I already had. I would love to try this in another color combination later. What do you think of the colors used?

*Pattern is written in standard US terms.
*Pattern uses a DK weight (size 3) yarn.
*Pattern uses G(4mm) hook for the bodice and G(4.5)mm for the skirt.
*Pattern includes sizes Newborn to 2 Years
*The bodice has a back closure and the straps are adjustable for a custom fit.

Use this crochet pattern to make a designer potholder for your contemporary kitchen. You can't imagine how easy the wave pattern is. The diagonal effect is achieved not through increases and decreases but by folding your potholder in a specific way. I had fun designing them and I will be gifting them to my friend who loves to cook and decorate her home. I hope you will enjoy making them too.

Matching kitchen towels with a sweet surprise is coming up next :).

Materials
1. Worsted weight cotton yarn. Lily Sugar 'n' Cream in colors Soft Ecru, Tangerine, and Hot Blue were used for the samples. Each pot holder took 2 balls, one in each color.
2. Hook 4.5mm
3. Yarn needle to weave in the ends.

Crocodile Stitch Gladiator Sandals for Women, Crochet Pattern, Both Indoor and Outdoor Versions Included, Boho Dreamz Sandals, US Sizes 5-12

Crocodile Stitch Gladiator Sandals Crochet Pattern for Woman

Crocodile Stitch or Dragon Scales Slipper Crochet pattern

Now includes a bonus outdoor version with Flip flop Soles!

I am so stoked about this crochet pattern! Now, why did I not come up with this idea before? My Baby Gladiators were probably the first pattern of its kind and I got rave reviews for it. I got many requests for adult size Gladiator sandals, but a plain one did not catch my fancy. Adding the crocodile stitch to the toe top has made all the difference, don't you agree? From the many pictures I added, you might have already guessed that I really enjoyed photographing this sandal. It looks even more fab when you wear it on your feet. If you make one, I would love to see a picture.

A big thank you to Nikki Little for suggesting the beautiful name, Boho Dreamz Sandals. I loved it because it has the "Dreamz" from my blog name.

* The pattern includes US sizes, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12. Includes an indoor version with crochet soles and a bonus outdoor version with Flip Flop soles.

*Hooks F(3.75mm) and H(5mm) are used for the pattern.

* The sole of the indoor version is worked using worsted weight yarn. It has two layers and a layer of quilter's batting is added between them to make it sturdy and cushy.

* The right and left soles are shaped differently just like regular sandals.

* The upper is worked using DK ( size 3 yarn). I picked Baby Bee Sweet Delight Yarn from Hobby Lobby, as this yarn was thinner than most DK and did not make the crocodile stitches bulky. The yarn comes in many colors making it a delight to work with. The colors used were Carrot, Infant Teal, and Naked.

* The crochet pattern is designed in such a way that you get a sturdy sandal that you can comfortably walk in.

* Additional supplies for outdoor version:
1.) A pair of beige Flip flops (Old Navy preferred)
2.) 48LB hemp cord for border
3.) A 2.5mm hook or any piercing tool
4.) Shoe goo or any footwear adhesive
5.) Sewing pins to position the ankle side on the sole

Puff Stitch Beanie Crochet Pattern

Puff Stitch Slouchy Beanie Crochet Pattern

Slouchy

Beanie

This is another crochet beanie pattern in my Puff Stitch series. I have a couple more lined up and maybe I will hold on until next winter to publish them. Who can believe Spring is almost here? Time to start thinking about my Spring collection. I am finding it so hard though, I am not over designing winter hats yet, sigh!

Seeing the amazing response I got when I posted this hat on FB and Instagram, I can already sense that this design will be much loved by all of you. Thank you so much to Tina for suggesting a beautiful name for this gorgeous hat.

The stitch used for this hat is far easier to work and has much more drape than a stiff jasmine stitch. I use Lionbrand Wool Ease for most of the hats. I love the drape and the stitch definition of that yarn. The peach hat was made using Caron Simply soft.

* The pattern is written in Standard American terms.

* Pattern includes option for a beanie and a slouch.

* The pattern includes hats in 4 sizes, 6-12 months, 1-4 years, 4-10 years, Pre-teen to Woman

* The pattern uses Hooks J(6 mm) and I( 5.5 mm).

*Pattern uses Worsted weight yarn (size 4). I used Lionbrand Wool Ease for gauge.

Crochet Dishcloth or Washcloth Pattern

Dishcloth crochet pattern

Dishcloths or washcloths are very quick and easy to crochet. Making a few of them could be a great way to practice your stitches. This crochet pattern uses a simple repeat to give you a great texture. Make a few to match your kitchen decor and you have something that looks good and is useful too. Use them to wash your dishes or clean your kitchen surfaces. Dishcloths should always be made using 100% cotton yarn. I used Lily Sugar n Cream for the samples. The ones I made are an 8-inch square. You can make them bigger if you like. I prefer keeping mine small as they are easy to wash that way.

Caron Cakes Infinity Scarf Crochet Pattern, Kaleidoscope Infinity Scarf

Crochet Infinity Scarf Pattern using Caron Cakes Yarn

After the huge popularity of my Ocean Waves Scarf crochet pattern using Caron Cakes Yarn, I picked up another skein. This time I chose colorway jelly roll for its stark contrast. The cake pop I used had subtle color changes that flowed seamlessly while this colorway switches colors abruptly to make a bold statement. Infinity scarves are very popular with the younger crowd. They are so versatile and will add spice to any wardrobe. I used a lacy pattern to give it more drape and elegance. This is one pattern you can wear well into the spring. I hope you enjoy making it.

Pattern
Materials
 1. Worsted weight variegated yarn. I used one ball of Caron Cakes in color Jelly Roll.
 2. Hook J (6 mm)
 3. Tapestry needle to weave in the ends.

Chunky Cowl Crochet Pattern

This chunky crochet cowl will make a great addition to your wardrobe. The crochet pattern works up quick and is made from just one skein of Big Twist Chunky. I love this chunky yarn because it is not too thick, just the right thickness to show off some texture. The texture on this scarf is created using half double crochet decreases. The cowl was made in color cotton candy which looks nothing like the picture. It is a peachy pink and looks gorgeous.

Pattern
Materials
 1. Chunky, size 5 yarn. I used one ball of Big Twist Chunky in color Cotton Candy.
 2. Hook L (8 mm)
 3. Tapestry needle to weave in the ends.

Size
32 inches around and 9 1/2 inches wide.

Gauge
Using L(8mm) hook, 14 hdc sts= 5 inches

Yardage
Used up the entire 195 yards of one skein of Big Twist Chunky.

Pearl Beanie, Puff Stitch Crochet Hat Pattern

Puff Stitch Hat Crochet Pattern

Do you love textured hats? Then you will absolutely love this crochet pattern using Puff stitches. Did you notice the brim? Don't you think the stitch perfectly complements the bulky texture?  I used Lionbrand Wool Ease for the hats. It makes the right kind of Puff stitches, not too bulky. Colors used for the samples are Fisherman and Rose Heather. The furry pom pom and the metal buttons add a nice touch. A tutorial for making your own furry pom pom in just under a dollar will be coming up on my blog shortly.

The hat is worked bottom up with decreases at the top to shape the hat. Working top down didn't give the same effect as working bottom up. So I decided to pick this approach and just love the outcome. The hat comes in all sizes from baby to adult. You can make one of these lovely hats for every girl in your family.

* The pattern is written in Standard American terms.

* The pattern includes hats in sizes 0-3 month, 3-6 months, 6-12 months. 1-4 years, 4-10 years, Pre-teen to Small Woman and Large Woman

* The pattern uses Hooks J(6 mm) and I( 5.5 mm).

*Pattern uses Worsted weight yarn (size 4). I used Lionbrand Wool Ease for gauge.
